Our History:

OVERCOMERS was established in 1998 and formally organized in 2015 by Sharon Y. Harley, a compassionate leader who has spent decades committed to serving those in need. Her passion for helping others began in the 1990s when she provided shelter and support for homeless families and domestic violence survivors, realizing that true restoration requires more than temporary relief—it requires preparation for long-term success. This deep-seated commitment has driven the creation of OVERCOMERS as a haven for those seeking refuge and a path to recovery.

Our goal is not only to provide shelter but also to restore dignity and build resilience in the lives of those we serve. We are committed to addressing the root causes of homelessness and domestic violence, equipping individuals with the tools they need to thrive in society.

By offering a nurturing environment of stability, support, and education, OVERCOMERS ensures that individuals and families can rebuild their lives, restore their self-worth, and contribute positively to society.

To provide safe stable housing and comprehensive support services to individuals facing homelessness, domestic violence, our veterans in need, and other related adversities. We empower our residents to overcome their challenges and re-enter society as successful, self-sufficient citizens.
