Public Library to Host 17th Annual Storytelling Festival March 1 - 31, 2026

Cumberland County Public Library (CCPL) will host its 17th annual Storytelling Festival from March 1 –- 31. The Storytelling Festival promotes literacy, encourages inclusion and sparks creativity for all community members. County Emergency Services Awarded Duke Energy Foundation Grant to Strengthen Disaster Preparedness

The Duke Energy Foundation awarded Cumberland County Emergency Services a $5,000 grant to support community resilience, disaster relief and countywide emergency preparedness efforts.   The funding will support Cumberland County Emergency Services’ upcoming Disaster Preparedness Expo, a one-day community event designed to help residents prepare for emergencies, connect with local resources and receive essential preparedness supplies.
