Maintenance Technician II

Fayetteville Technical Community College is recruiting for a new member to join our Facilities and Support Services Team and now accepting applications for 2 full-time Maintenance Technician II’s.

The Maintenance Technician II performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled building construction and maintenance tasks relating to the renovation, upkeep, and operation of campus buildings and facilities. The tasks are electrical and plumbing maintenance and repair work, carpentry and painting tasks, repair and maintain HVAC equipment. The incumbent is expected to perform journeyman-level, skilled work in at least one of the allied building trades.

Minimum Qualifications:

• An Associate’s degree from and accredited college or university; or equivalent.
• Three years of experience performing a variety of skilled building construction and maintenance duties related to designated trade and/or field, including supervisory experience.
• Extensive experience directly related to the position duties may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
• Possession of a valid North Carolina driver’s license with good driving record of five years is required with no more than one (1) minor accident or violation in the past three (3) years.
• Must have begun or completed the Hepatitis B immunizations.
