Primary Duties of a Residential Technician

  1. Direct Care & Supervision

    • Provide day-to-day supervision and care for residents in the home.

    • Monitor resident activities to ensure safety and adherence to house rules.

    • Assist residents with daily living skills, such as hygiene, meal preparation, and chores.

  2. Behavioral Support

    • Implement and follow behavior management plans as directed by clinical staff.

    • Provide de-escalation support and intervene during behavioral incidents using approved methods.

    • Document behavioral observations and incidents accurately.

  3. Medication Administration

    • Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation.

    • Monitor residents for medication side effects and report concerns.

  4. Documentation & Reporting

    • Complete daily logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.

    • Maintain records of resident progress, activities, and any notable changes in behavior.
