Fayetteville Technical Community College is recruiting for a new member to join our Business Programs Team and now accepting applications for a full-time Culinary Arts Instructor!

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, or Foodservice Management
  • Three (3) or more years of recent professional experience in commercial foodservice or hospitality operations, including experience in high-volume, production-driven, or service-oriented environments
  • Experience working within professional standards, including food safety, sanitation, time management, teamwork, and accountability typical of real-world hospitality environments
  • Current ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe)
  • The ability to document processes, provide feedback, and communicate expectations clearly to students
  • Basic proficiency with instructional and administrative technology, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or willingness to learn required systems
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of a professional teaching kitchen, including but not limited to lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, working in varied temperatures, exposure to cleaning agents, and supporting College and Department events and instructional activities as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, Foodservice Management
  • Experience preparing students or employees for real-world hospitality or foodservice environments, including mentoring, coaching, training, supervision, or instructional roles
  • Teaching experience in a community college, technical college, apprenticeship, or industry training setting
  • Experience with large-scale production, service operations, or instructional kitchens, including workflow planning, volume forecasting, and team coordination
  • Online or hybrid teaching experience
  • ServSafe Instructor/Proctor Certification
  • ACF Certification or other recognized industry credentials
