Description
A Legacy of Healing Founded in 1999
Established on July 14, 1999, this facility has stood as a pillar of recovery in the region
for over two decades. From its inception, the center has specialized as an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), dedicated to combating addiction through medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and comprehensive counseling. This early commitment to excellence was formally recognized in 2002 when, after three years of dedicated operation, the facility achieved its first accreditation from CARF International, setting a "blue ribbon" standard for patient care that remains in effect today.
Decades of Community Impact
For more than 25 years, the center has served as a critical lifeline for the Fayetteville
community, offering stability and hope amidst the opioid crisis. Carolina Treatment
Center’s mission has remained steadfast in serving our community. This enduring
presence has allowed the facility to build deep trust within Cumberland and surrounding
counties, providing thousands of individuals with the Comprehensive Treatment and
recovery tools necessary to reclaim their lives and reconnect with their families and
society as a whole.
Celebrating a Standard of Excellence
Today’s event celebrates not just a facility, but a proven legacy of resilience and service. By maintaining its accreditation and evolving to meet local needs since that pivotal first recognition in 1999, the center has played a measurable role in strengthening the social fabric of the area. As we look to the future, Carolina Treatment
Center continues to prioritize the health of this community, ensuring that the same high-
quality, compassionate care established in 1999 remains available for generations to come.
