Fayetteville Technical Community College’s Nursing Division is recruiting creative, innovative, and highly motivated candidates for full-time 10-month faculty positions. FTCC’s Nursing programs focuses on concept-based learning with a state-of-the-art simulation center, equipped with learning space technology. Ideal candidates will have a background in evidence-based practice, teaching, and current clinical experience.
 
Our nursing faculty members are responsible for curriculum development, providing engaging instruction, and conducting assessments on program, course, and student outcomes. Our faculty play an integral role of our student’s educational experience by providing an engaging student-centered approach to learning. They are critical thinkers who are comfortable navigating risk management and a willingness to view multiple perspectives with an open mind. They take responsibility for their professional and personal growth and are comfortable operating a variety of computer software and technology tools including office suites, presentation software, and communication and collaboration tools.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master of Science Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of three years employment in direct patient care as a registered nurse. If actively pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing Education with an expected completion date by Dec 31, 2025, you are welcome to apply.”
  • Possesses a current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina or holds a RN license in a compact state and is able to obtain a North Carolina license by endorsement.
  • Meets North Carolina Board of Nursing requirements for preparation in teaching learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation. (21NCAC 36.0318 (3) Faculty)
  • Meets requirements as specified by the clinical agencies (immunizations, orientations, etc.) and American Heart Association BLS.
  • Demonstrates motivation, initiative, and a high degree of independence, with extensive knowledge of nursing and commitment to evidence-based best practice.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
